Nepotism, Not Always A Smart Move

I love my mom and at times, she is the bombdiggity as a dog-a-tary and was hired partly because she is my mom, but mostly because of  her ten long fingers and typing ability!

Lately she has been slacking.  Sometimes I wonder if I should fire her and get a dog-a-tary that is worth their milk bones in typing skills and is not always so busy doing other things not pertaining to my blog, like an iPhone game called Candy Crush….just sayin’.

Today, we are having a serious conversation on her duties and a possible decrease in pay until she shows vast improvement when it comes to tending to my blog needs!

Hang in there and come back tomorrow…I think she will be coming back to the importance of  her very valuable job and you will see a marked improvement!

  1. Having been addicted to a variety of games over the years, I know your mom is dealing with a powerful compulsion. There is hope, but it's hard. I've seen them advertising Candy Crush and I thought about looking at it, but "NO," I must stay strong. Good luck, Higgins. Remember, your mom has a disease.

  2. Sometimes you just have to sit them down and lay it out as to how it is if they want to keep their position. I am sure you will steer her in the right direction.

  18. Oh Higgins, if you have any joy with the 'performance management' (which is how I refer to it), let me know. She is becoming increasingly useless and I really will need to performance manage her out the door because She's letting the team down big time!!!
