Whew, It’s Not Worms!

My mom has been released from the hospital and is home under the watchful eyes of me!  Thank goodness!!  Now I am confidant that she will receive the best care available!

The good news…it’s not worms!!!  She is on the mend and get this…She has to stay  put and not doing anything!!!  That is music to my ears!!!  So that mean, she will not be hopping in her Jeep to run around town leaving me at home!

The not so good news, her liver is going to take a week or so to really heal.  She is doing well, but is really tired and hurts a little.

I got busy this morning with liver security patrol to make sure she does not get bumped or jumped on.  I have already growled at the cat and stood guard to make sure the youngest son did not get to close to mom!!

I am 100%  satisfied with the liver security schedule that I have planned and mom said that it is so well executed that she feels like she now has a Chihuahua Tumor!  HA!  I take that as the highest of complements!!

Thanks for all the pawstive thoughts that you have sent me and mom and keep your paws crossed that she quickly recovers!

  1. Paws crossed and prayers being said, count on it. You keep up the good work Higgins and I am sure with your care she will be back to good as new, or slightly used, in no time.

  2. Yay!! So glad that she doesn't have worms! :) Keep up the Liver Security Measures.. I think they should remain at LSDefcon 1 for at least a week.

  4. Ewwww, thank Dog it's not worms! If your Mum is anything like ours she would have been screaming hysterically just at the mere thought of them, BOL!

  11. So do they know what it is exactly, Higs? And what caused it? If it was worms, she could just have taken those big pink pills like I do! Get better soon X

  12. Higgins, with you on liver patrol, it will be fine. We are so sorry to hear your mum isn't well - I mean, it's great for you, what with having all the extra company and it's great for her that you are taking the care duties so seriously, but we are very worried so keep us posted!

  13. Sendin' your Mom lots of good Weenie vibes! You take good care of her now that she's home. It's YOUR responsibility to keep her out of trouble! :o)

  14. SO glad it's not worms! Paws crossed

  15. We will say our prayers every night and pray for your mom that she will continue to heal.

  16. Hope your mom is feeling better. Certainly sounds like a difficult time.

  17. You know, Higgins, you really should find some good quality liver treats to give mom. Maybe that would help. ;)

  18. Hope you are feeling better. Sounds like you have a great companion with which to go through it all.
