Happy New Year my furry friends
Did you know January is National Train Your Dog Month
Here is a quote from the APDT's website that really touched my heart
"Too many dogs are turned into animal shelters each year for behavior and training issues that could be easily solved with proper socialization and positive, gentle, science-based methods of training."
My wish for this new year is that there will be more forever homes for all the shelter animals.
Thanks Ginger Bell for the post! I hope there are tons of furever homes for all the animals too!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was train your dog month! Hmmm, I wonder what I can learn to do this month??

Great post. With Fred it's more like train your human month! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL I think it is the same way at our house Bassetmomma ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I hope there are more dogs adopted this year.

That's a great post and a wonderful wish, Higgins. That's our wish, too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great quote. And it's really true - I was dumped into a pound because of my 'behavioural issues' to be put to sleep - I was only 6 months old and just a wee pup so it wasn't my fault I didn't understand. But I'm as happy as a Westie could be now as I've trained the Two Legged Ones to understand me and they are doing ok - well, they have their moments but don't we all. Let's hope that 2012 will bring more of us four legged ones together with forever homes and that all those wonderful two legged ones who take us sorts in and help re-home others know that we all love them very much!
ReplyDeleteWoof.
